Introducing: Bako ID Support in Fuel Wallet
We are excited to introduce a new feature to the Fuel ecosystem: native support for Bako ID in Fuel Wallet.
Bako ID is a Name System (NS) built on top of the Fuel Network. It allows users to register human-readable names, like @bakoid
, and resolve them directly to b256 addresses. Think of it as your Web3 username, short, familiar, and self-sovereign.
With this integration, Fuel Wallet can now resolve @
names natively, bringing identity and usability closer to the heart of the Fuel experience.
What’s Under the Hood?
- Users can enter a
@handle
(e.g.,@alice
) into the wallet. - The wallet interacts with our Indexer to resolve the name through the BakoIDClient.
- On screens such as Transaction Review and Transaction History, the primary name is resolved to the corresponding Fuel address (reverse resolution) for b256 addresses.
