What color should the Sway language use in Github?
It will show up in search:
And in the language % widget on repos that use it. Here’s an example.
Currently the color is the same as Rust, which I think will be less than ideal because repos containing Sway are also likely to contain Rust.
All of these options are taken from the Fuel Brand guide.
Some options:
-
Cypher Green: #00F58C
pros: It’s the color of the Fuel logo and is most associated with Fuel’s brand
cons: Sway language is separate from the Fuel network, so perhaps should have it’s own color scheme
-
Lighter shade of Cypher Green: #81F8AF
pros: It’s close to the color of the Fuel logo and is most associated with Fuel’s brand
cons: Sway language is separate from the Fuel network, so perhaps should have it’s own color scheme -
Lighter shade of Crimson Red: #F85C84
pros: It’s distinct from the Fuel logo, and similar to the Rust color scheme in github. It’s also not widely used. -
Lighter shade of Cobalt Blue: #9D97ED
pros: It’s distinct from the Fuel logo and is not widely used. -
Light Gray: #C4C4C4
pros: It’s distinct from the Fuel logo and is not widely used.
cons: It’s not very unique
