We’re reducing GraphQL query complexity limits on public RPC endpoints over the next week to improve overall performance.
Why this change: About a year ago, we raised these limits for Fuel Ignition. While our SDKs have since been optimized and no longer need higher limits, the current settings enable expensive queries that degrade performance for all users.
What to expect:
-
Most users: No action needed
-
High volume users (large block data queries, indexing, block scraping): Break queries into smaller requests. Query limit reduced to ~5 full blocks per request.
-
If you still want to make expensive larger queries, please use your own Sentry or use the paid plans from Quicknode or Ankr, which offer higher limits.
Note: Known high volume users already run dedicated infrastructure and won’t be affected.
